Termite Swarmers?

Well it's that time of year again.  You may see flying black bugs in the next few weeks.  Subterranean termites "swarm" this time of the year.  The swarmers are termite reproductives that are leaving the termite colony in search of a mate to start a new colony of their own.  The swarmers don't eat wood, however, they came from a colony or nest of termites where there are "workers" or termites that do eat wood.  A recent national report stated that termites do over 5 billion dollars a year damage to structures.  So, if you see any black insects about the size of a fireant, with or without wings, flying or crawling around inside or outside of your house, give us a call and we can come out and see if they are termites.  Ask us about our UltraGuard Premium service program!
